“The Sweetest Start to a Busy Year”
From Syrup to First Cut: Preparing for the Season

As winter has finally loosened its grip and the days grow a little warmer, we find ourselves nearing the end of one of our favorite times of year: maple syrup season. 🍁
Over the past month, it’s been all hands-on deck in the sugar bush. What makes this season especially meaningful is that it’s truly a family affair.
From early mornings to late nights, everyone has played a role from tapping trees, collecting sap, boiling it down and keeping things running smoothly.

It’s a busy stretch, but one that brings us together and reminds us why we love what we do.
Sap flowed steadily with that perfect mix of cold nights and mild days. Every trip into the bush and every hour at the evaporator is part of a process that takes patience, precision, and care. Turning sap into pure maple syrup is both an art and a science and something we take a great deal of pride in.
Clearing Way For What's Next...
At the same time, there’s a noticeable shift happening around the farm. The barns are beginning to empty out as we move through inventory, making space for the season ahead. It’s always a clear sign that winter is winding down and that preparation for hay season is well underway.
Looking into next month, our focus turns heavily toward maintenance and upgrades.
Equipment is being serviced and fine-tuned, and we’re investing in improvements across the board including new balers, baron, rake, and tractor.

These upgrades are all part of our commitment to staying efficient, reliable, and ready for the demands of the season.
Behind the scenes, planning is in full swing as we prepare for the growing season, which kicks off in May. Before long, fields will begin to green up, and all signs will point toward 1st Cut in June. There’s a lot to be done between now and then, but this groundwork is what sets the stage for a successful harvest.
There’s something special about this time of year: the transition from winter into spring, the longer days, and the shared effort it takes to keep everything moving forward. It’s a season of both reflection and anticipation.
We’re looking forward to what’s ahead and to another strong year working alongside all of you.
