What started as a family farm dream has grown into something much more…

Angela is the heart behind A.J. Farm Store, where a passion for family, community, and quality food comes together. As a busy mom of two and a farm-based entrepreneur, she understands how important it is to bring home fresh, wholesome food you can feel good about serving.

Her love for food and baking runs deep. Angela comes from a long line of bakers—her Great Grandpa and Grandpa were both known for their craft, and “Grandpa’s Buns” were a staple at every family gathering. Growing up, meals were almost always homemade. Eating out was never the highlight—but a homemade cherry pie or a cake shaped like a bunny made any day feel special. The freezer was always stocked with homemade jam and baked treats, ready to bring a little joy to everyday moments.

After she and her husband Jeff started A.J. Farms, what began with soybeans and corn slowly grew—literally—into something more. With a passion for expanding and creating, they began exploring new ways to share what they love with others.

As a mom, Angela’s goal is to raise two capable, confident boys who understand the value of food—from start to finish. Since before they could walk, they’ve been included in every step of the process—grocery shopping, baking, cooking, and even cleaning up. Today, they can wake up and prepare a full breakfast—eggs, pancakes, fruit, and even coffee—at just seven years old.

Their curiosity has grown alongside their skills. After helping plant wheat, they began asking what happens next. Together, they brought some home, cleaned it, milled it into flour, and chose to make pancakes—experiencing the full journey from field to table. Moments like these have built not only skills, but a deep appreciation for ingredients and the food on their plates.

That same passion led Angela to start sharing her baking with others. What began with cookies and bread for family and friends has grown into a thriving part of the business. Today, A.J. Farm Store sells up to 30 loaves of sourdough bread each week and creates custom cookie orders for everything from everyday treats to special celebrations. Most recently, Angela was invited to participate in a micro-wedding content day, providing cookies and favours for guests.

A.J. Farm Store is a reflection of Angela’s journey—a place where quality matters, local is celebrated, and every product has a story. Her goal is simple: to create a space where people can connect, support local, and bring home food that brings families together.
